I was driving with my father in my car, he was driving. And i remember telling him to drive slower, he was going very fast, we had an argument. We came around a corner and i could see a hand outside the driver window and as i looked back i saw a body fly into the air. I said nothing but knew we had hit someone. I wanted to hide the car but there was nowhere to hide it. And then on the news i saw the police spoke about the dead body and they had leads. I sat and waited for the police to come to my house but they never did and i woke up
Dreams about driving often symbolize your journey through life or the control you have over your current situations. When someone else, such as your father in this case, is driving your car, it could signify the influence or control they have over your life or decisions. Let's break down different elements of your dream for a more detailed interpretation:
Father Driving:
This part suggests that your father may have a significant influence on your life right now, or you might feel that he has control over certain situations that concern you. It might indicate an area of your life where you are allowing someone else to lead instead of taking the wheel yourself.
Driving Fast and Argument:
The fast driving and subsequent argument could indicate that you feel a current situation in your life is moving too quickly for your comfort, or that you are involved in something risky or reckless. The argument reflects your inner conflict and desire to regain control or slow things down.
Hitting Someone and Flying Body:
This is a very striking symbol that may represent the feeling of collateral damage from the actions you or someone else is taking. It might reflect guilt or anxiety about inadvertently hurting others with the choices being made. This aspect of the dream may signify a fear of consequences from actions already taken.
Wanting to Hide the Car:
The urge to hide the car suggests a desire to hide or avoid responsibility for a situation. It implies that you might be dealing with feelings of guilt, shame, or fear of being held accountable for something you've done, or worry about being implicated in someone else's actions.
Police on the News and Waiting:
Seeing police on the news indicates a strong fear of punishment or consequences, as police often symbolize authority and the enforcement of rules. Your waiting for the police suggests anxiety about being found out or held to account for actions you feel remorseful or worried about.
No Police Arrival:
The police never showing up can be seen as unresolved tension or unresolved feelings of guilt. This might relate to an issue in your life that you feel has been left unresolved. The dream ending before consequences occur might symbolize avoidance or the hope of escaping negative outcomes.
Overall Interpretation:
Your dream seems to center around themes of control, responsibility, and fear of consequences. It suggests you may be grappling with a situation in your life that you feel is beyond your control, potentially involving risk or harm to others. The dream could reflect guilt or anxiety about these issues, and it hints at a need to confront these feelings, possibly by addressing unresolved conflicts or taking more control over your own life decisions.
You might want to consider areas in your life where you feel out of control or where you might be avoiding responsibility, and assess how you can regain a sense of balance and accountability.
